Kraft and Blue

Here is another Stampin' Unicorn creation, this time I've used the butterfly from Daisy Friends, coloured them with Promarkers and the added to the kraft card blank with foam pads.  I've also used the grass boarder and the sentiment (although just noticed that it is the wrong way round!)

I stamped directly onto the kraft card using the Blossom large flower and little hearts and then used a little glitter glue and white gel pen for highlights.

I created the border around the card with a black fine liner pen.  All the items are linked above and are available to buy from the Etsy store!

One of the things I love about stamps is you can take them in any crafty direction .. Today I have gone for a real mixed media canvas.

To create this I made a background by using the LDRS embossing folders and some of the tags & wooden shapes from the magic sparkles embellishment kit I then covered it all in Gesso, when it was dry I added some pigment powders for a splash of colour.

I then coloured up the butterflies from Daisy Friends as a feature and used the words from the set too to ass as a sentiment. I created some highlights by adding a pink guilding wax and then framed it using a Black Ecoline watercolour pen.

Stampin' Unicorn Shadow box

Happy Wednesday to you all, here today to share with you a shadow box hanger that I made
My shadow box was cut on my portrait
I then used the delicious stamp set
how super stunning are these
and I so love the verse
I coloured up using Graph'It Markers
and finished off by attaching a length of ribbon and a bow

Summery Daisy Friends

I do like making clean and simple cards and with using this stunning Daisy Friends stamp, then its so easy!  I first of all made the card blank with white linen effect card and cut the aperture with a circle die.  The Daisy Friends stamp was inked up and I stamped it directly through the aperture, coloured it with Promarkers and then used dry watercolour pencils for the background.  The sentiments were stamped on off-cuts of the same card and then added around the frame.

And to give it a bit more interest, I added some cute die cut LDRS Dotted Wings Butterflies, added some half pearls from the Magic Sparkles embellishment pack to their centres and five around the top left of the circle aperture.

Pretty Florals

Hi All,
Ruby Rainbow Sparkle here, sharing another Stampin Unicorn make today. For this one I created a little bit of a wash in the background using an Ecoline pen. I then used the sentiment from Heavenly Blubells but deliberately didn't stamp perfectly to create a bit of a background. I then took paper from Butterfly Dreams and created some paper ribbons. I inked the edges with Distress ink Picked Rasberry. I then arranges some flowers from the Heavenly Dreams and then finished off with a sentiment from bits and pieces and finally I hand doodled some stitching detail around the card.

Shabby Chic

Bit of a shabby chic card here using some wonderful Stampin' Unicorn products!  Both papers are taken from the Butterfly Dreams 6x6 paper pad (the paper is really good quality and nice and sturdy which makes it great to rough up!)  The sentiment is from the Bits and Pieces Ephemera 6x6 paper pack (again, I've lightly distressed the edges).

The flowers are beautiful and I've curled some thin strips of the paper which were left over after trimming - flowers and half pearls from the Heavenly Dreams Embellishment pack.

Pretty Petals

Hello! Sometimes dies just make the most wonderful flowers!  Here I've used papers from the Wonderland paper pad and balanced the pinks with one of the ditty flower papers from the Itsy Ditsy paper pad then used a few different sizes of the LDRS Pierced Ovals dies.

I've also cut the aperture of the flower with one of the larger dies.  The sentiment is from the large grab bag of toppers and to finish, the little flower pearl and half pearl on the topper is from the Magic Sparkles embellishment pack.  Ribbon is from my own stash.

Even though it looks quite complex, it was pretty quick to make!

Sewing Hoop

Sharing another make from the latest Stampin Unicorn release ... For this make I altered a sewing hoop I used 2 paper packs Butterfly Dreams and the sentiment is from Bits & Pieces I covered the background of the hoop with the paper, and then cut lots of strips of various sizes, and then dry brushed it all with a little gesso. I fussy cut loads of leaves from one of the papers, and some of the butterflies, I mixed my fussy cut pieces with the gorgeous Heavenly Dreams Embellishment kit ... this is so lush, you need it in your life!! & finally I covered the whole project in paint splatters.

Small Beginnings

Hello Buttercup Candy here with a wonderful stamp set - Small Beginnings.  There are 8 individual stamps in the set and they can be used to layer up the flowers.  I've used the largest stamp as the main image (the dies are Sizzix) and then added the sentiment onto a circle die cut.

I've added liquid pearl dots around the edges of the image, card and sentiment.  And I've used Promarkers to colour.

Look out for more from the DT - we've loved these stamps and have lots to show you!  You can still catch the show on Hochanda and all the products can be bought through Hochanda or the main stockist Polkadoodles.

Sparkly Perfect Petals

Back with another Stampin Unicorn make. This was also featured on Hochanda, you can still catch both the shows on rewind, here and here

There was a little bit of discussion on TV as to how I had done this one, so I thought I would fill you in. I have used the stamp Perfect Petals ( aldo available at Polkadoodles and Hochanda ) I have stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder , the flowers I stamped out twice and I have layered and shaped them a little to add some dimension. Both the background and the flowers have been coloured with Sheena's Sparkle Pens. I then added black and white paint splatters to give a more arty feel. The sentiment if from the fabulous Bits and Pieces paper pack and then added a few gems from the Heavenly dreams embellishment kit ( its worth checking out the bundle offer )

Garden Gate

Hi All .... We were so excited to see Stampin Unicorn on TV again .. if you missed the shows you can catch them on rewind, here and here

For this make I used all 3 sets of the brand new stamps Small Beginnings Heavenly Bluebells Perfect Petals I stamped loads of them out and then coloured with some SN sparkle pens, and did loads of fussy cutting!! some of the flowers I layered up to give added dimension.

The little wooden gate I picked up in a bargin shop in the UK, I coloured it up with distress inks, Walnut Stain, Cracked Pistachio, Black Suit, to give a weathered look., I painted the hinges and door handle black paint, and then swirled some white and blue paint over it to create an oxidized look. The grass, I sneaked in from a polkadoodles embellishment kit, which you can find here

Finally I used some glossy accents to add lots of little drops all over the project to look like raindrops.

Blossom

Hello!  Buttercup Candy here (I also answer to Ruth!) with a really quick and easy card made using the Blossom stamp set and the Daisy Friends Happy Birthday sentiment  You really do get a lot for your money with the Blossom Stamp set!

I've used Promarkers to colour the image after I've stamped it directly onto my white linen effect cardstock.  For some reason I seem to have a rather lot of random seed beads in my stash so used some of them up here by sticking them on with glossy accents.

I stamped the sentiments from Daisy Friends on off-cuts of card and then added them to the panel with foam pads for extra depth.  Around the edge of the panel I've added a dotted line with a black fineliner pen and to finish off, a little LDRS butterfly die cut plus a little white half pearl from the embellishment pack.

This has got to be one of those stamps that I will go to time and time again - so lovely to use and colour up and it stamped perfectly for me every time!

Don't forget to tune in to Hochanda tomorrow (3 December) at 8am and 12noon GMT for a new release that the Design Team have had lots of fun with!  If you like this stamp then you will love the new release!
